These donkeys are sold but more are on the way! SB's Lady Luck was born May 17, 2010 in the early morning hours. She was looking a little unsure about life in her new world. She is out of National Velvet and SB's BlackJack. She is so tiny! The water tank behind her is just 1½ feet tall. I have noticed that when they are first born, these donkeys have a little curl at the end of their ears from being smashed in the uterus. The curl goes out within a few weeks. She is now jetting around the pasture and she is completely unaware that any day now, her new friend is due out of Tuesday Morning! --SOLD--
SB's Ace of Spades was born June 7, 2010 after the sun was up and shining. He is already showing his mom how tuff he is as he is bucking around and demanding nursing time. He is out of Tuesday Morning and SB's BlackJack. BlackJack stood over his birth and watched the new arrival come into the world. Lady Luck isn't too sure that it is safe to go and meet the new guy yet, and is keeping her distance. Within a few days I should have some pictures of them playing together. --SOLD--
Clementine, papers pending, was born May 29, 2009 is the most beautiful foal to date out of our donkeys. She is very flashy as she has the light color around her eyes and nose. She is so petit and tiny. We think she may be our smallest arrival yet. --SOLD!!!--
SB's Bad Moon Rising was born about 1:30pm on Monday April 28th. He is a beautiful silvery gray dun with a black face and shoulder striping. Out of SB's BlackJack and CP's Tuesday Morning. He went to the Campbell's to live with a little girl who has already taken him to a parade and hopes to get him driving this winter. --SOLD!!!--
SB's 308 Special is a very dark brown jennet that is also out of Black Jack. She is sold to a family here in Riverton, and they are planning to raise donkeys as well when she grows up. You can see more great pictures of her when she was born by clicking on her picture. --SOLD!!!--
"Donkey", the first of our herd, was very distrusting and afraid. He has come to trust people, even if only a little, after 6 years. It is a start. We hooked him up to the cart, but he wasn't ready. We have decided to wait until he trusts us completely. He can bray as big as a big donkey and for that we love him! --SOLD!!!-
