The Snaffle Bit Ranch prides itself in breeding for speed, cow sense, and conformation.  We have horses that can make it in the show pen, the team penning or sorting pen, the cutting pen, and the rodeo arena as rope horses or barrel horses.  In order to compete successfully in the reined cow-horse world, a horse has to cut like a cutter, rein like a reiner, rope like a roper, and then take one down the fence.

 Each year, our horses get better because our knowledge of horses and horsemanship increases as we explore every avenue available.  We make a point to go ride with anyone that will let us, so that we can have horses that can play the game and win!

Justin, works full time starting our prospects and getting our horses ready for the show pen.  To give the horses a break and keep them well rounded, he takes them for a day in the saddle to move cows, tag or doctor calves, or brand.  Our horses gain valuable and practical experience that makes them an asset to any program.  It doesn't matter if you are looking for a trail horse, ranch horse, ranch roping horse, prospect team roping horse, cutting horse or reining horse, the foundation that you need can be found in the horses we raise and buy. 

You can come and visit the ranch and see Justin working with horses, as there are always horses in various levels of training.  We encourage anyone  to come and watch or invite you to participate in the daily activities of ranch life.
